Last February I posted a video of 95 year old Ida Keeling breaking the world age sprint record. Here is an inspirational video of Ida with some great words of wisdom about getting old.
ShareMichelle Goes from 5k to Marathon for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Michelle is a dear friend of mine that I meet while she and her family lived in Colorado. What I found interesting is that Michelle lived outside of Boulder, Colorado (where you walk down the street and can’t help but run into an elite athlete), and it took her moving to the Boston area to be inspired to run a marathon. Not only has Michelle decided to run a marathon, she is doing it for those who can’t. Here is her story.
ShareIda Keeling sets the world sprint record. . . at 95!
Ida Keeling; the 95-year-old Bronx native set a world record at a track meet in northern Manhattan last week, running 60 meters in 29.86 seconds. She’s the oldest woman to do so, and a great inspiration showing the ordinary people can do extraordinary things!

Laura (Hawaiian Shirt Ray’s sister) has worked very hard this season on improving her running gait/form and logging plenty of miles with the goal of running the Vasque Golden Leaf Half Marathon Trail Run. Working with her running coach Janet Runyan (my coach too) they put together a plan to accomplish running the Vasque Golden Leaf Half Marathon Trail Run. Laura was very flexible with her training program due to her military commitments and volunteering in the Dominican Republic after the earthquakes.

ShareSan Juan Solstice 50 Mile Ultra Trail Race 2010
Ultra trial running in the San Juan Mountains doesn’t get any better than the San Juan Solstice 50 Mile Ultra Trail Race. This is by far my favorite 50 mile ultra trail run! If you are going to suffer, you may as well do it in one of the most beautiful places in America; Lake City, Colorado.
I am not going to write a detailed account of the course and my experience. Nor a detailed
