Salomon Trail Running Pack S-Lab 12: Review

Salomon Trail Running Pack S-Lab 12: Review

The Salomon Trail Running Pack S-Lab 12 is for the serious ultra trail runner. I bought the Salomon Trail Running Pack S-Lab 12 this year when I was in Chamonix after running the UTMB. After the pack I used during the UTMB did not meet my expectation, and after seeing how many of the European runners were using the Salomon Trail Running Pack S-Lab 12; I decided to pay the price and make the purchase. And am glad that I did.

Fenix Garmin for Running

The Fenix Garmin for running came out this summer (2012) as Garmin’s first wristband GPS running watch for ultra-running. This Garmin for running has an advertised battery life of 50 hours, and thus appealed to mountainous hikers and runners alike. The Fenix Garmin for running also falls into the category of ABC watches. This stands for Altimeter, Barometer, and Compass.

If you have been following the craze of barefoot running and minimalist running and are looking for a “minimalist” trail running shoe; the New Balance MT 101 just might be the shoe for you. SealSkinz Waterproof Socks

SealSkinz Waterproof Socks – Product Review

Sealskinz waterproof, but not breathable sock.

Waterproof socks sounded like a good idea for racing in the cold mountains of Colorado. I purchased a pair of the SealSkinz over the calf, 15” Waterproof socks for an upcoming race, The Twin Mountain Trudge on January 15, 2011. The Twin Mountain Trudge takes place just outside of Laramie, WY. Just in case you did not connect the dots, it takes place in the middle of winter, in Wyoming. The Twin Mountain Trudge consists of two 11 mile laps. This year the start/finish line
