The 2011 Rocky Raccoon 100 Ultra Trail Race was the 19th annual running. The race takes place in Huntsville, TX which is about less than an hour north of Houston. Joe and Joyce Prusaitis are the race directors and their goal is to provide Texas hospitality and take care of all the ultra trail runners. Their goal is to see you cross the finish line in under 30 hours, and they are there to provide “more encouragement than sympathy” to keep you moving.

Four Premier Ultra Trail Runners Talk

Just the other night the Boulder Trail Runners invited four of ultra trail running’s premier runners for dinner and an open forum, interaction discussion at Sherpa’s restaurant in Boulder, Colorado. The guests of honor were: Geoff Roes, Dave Mackey, Tony Kupricka, and Scott Jurek. This was a great opportunity to hear them speak and to ask questions of these world class ultra trail runners.
