Ultra trail running is something I never imagined doing.  Over a decade of running with shin splits to ultra trail running pain free.  I have shared parts of my story with fellow runners, but I would like to take the opportunity to tell a more complete story about how I became a pain-free ultra trail runner.

Leadville Trail 100: Sub 25 Hours!

The Leadville Trail 100 in sub 25 hours, Ray did it!!!!  Ray picked it up after May Queen and finished with about 15 minutes to spare!  He looked great, and earned his Silver Belt Buckle! Here’s a short video clip of his triumphant finish – we will try to put together another video/photo montage soon! Way to go Ray!

Ray surprised us all at the Leadville Trail 100 – he and Matt showed up to May Queen at 1:10 – 20 minutes early!  Ray is now with Lena for the final 13.5.  Ray has a good shot at this and we are all proud of him.  Go Ray!   We will see you at the finish!

Leadville Trail 100 Ray is doing great.

7:12 pm – Ray did great on Hope Pass – right on time coming in to Twin Lakes, and is now running to Treeline with Neeraj.   The weather is a bit cool, cloudy and drizzly, but seems like it might clear up.   Ray, and crew are doing great!  More to come hopefully!

2010 Leadville Trail 100 – Mile 60 Twin Lakes inbound

The race starts at 4:00am Saturday morning, August 20th.  Updates will be proved by David Besnette starting at mile 40 which will be around 11:00 am Saturday.
